The Tony-award winning play Proof follows Catherine, the daughter of a brilliant but troubled mathematician, in the days following her father’s death. Facing the doubts of her family and colleagues, she must prove her own talent while grappling with the shadow of her late father’s legacy and the blurred lines between genius and madness. Hackmatack Farm & Playhouse, celebrating over 50 years of summer theater in Berwick, Maine, is home to mainstage theater productions, children’s theater camp, community contra dances, Sundays at the Farm, and more. Since the playhouse’s founding in 1972, Hackmatack Playhouse has grown into a keystone of the Seacoast art scene. The land at Hackmatack has been farmed by the Guptill family in various forms since the 1680s. Today they raise 100% grass-fed American bison (or buffalo) and heritage breed Mangalista pigs. The farm store is open seasonally April – November.
